Di and Cam

Hi everyone

Merry Christmas, we hope Santa was good to you all! We had a fantastic Christmas here including egg nog and a sleigh complete with reindeer and presents displayed in lights on the front lawn of a house just down the street - Canadians go crazy at Christmas!

We went out for dinner a few nights ago to a Sing-Along for Christmas. It was hilarious! We had a great meal and then a guy with an electric keyboard lead the entire restaurant clientele in Christmas carols. We got some good photos (one of the two of us below) but not sure Di's Mum and co. would appreciate them being broadcast over the Internet

We spent Christmas Day at Di's Mum's house and had family over for (turkey) Christmas dinner. We all ate (and drank) far too much of course!

We got out early this morning to brave the infamous North American Boxing Day sales - it was mayhem! People actually queue here to get into the shops that have the best sales! However, we managed to stock on some winter clothing for the (short-term) trip to Calgary and on to London so were pleased that we had forfeited one of the sleep-ins that we are rapidly becoming accustomed to.

We are heading off to Calgary tomorrow (27 December) via Kelowna in the Okanagan lake district and we'll return to Vancouver via Jasper, Banff and Lake Louise.

Lara (Di's sister) bought us a voucher for Grouse Mountain so we plan to head up there in early January for a 'posh' meal and evidentally the best view of downtown Vancouver.

Anyway, will keep you posted when we are back in Vancouver in early January. Hope you all have a fantastic New Years and a good start to 2007! Let us know how you are all going!
